Chinese President Xi Jinping has emphasized the importance of bolstering China’s advanced manufacturing sector, identifying it as a cornerstone for the nation’s modernization and economic growth. Xi called for efforts to ensure high-quality and secure industrial development while pushing for smart, green, and integrated manufacturing practices.
During discussions, Xi stressed the need to fortify domestic industrial supply chains to enhance their self-reliance and resilience against external threats. His vision includes the continued development of a modern industrial system with a strong focus on advanced manufacturing, aiming to strengthen the foundations of the real economy.
Premier Li Qiang echoed Xi’s sentiments, advocating for the greater utilization of digital technologies and artificial intelligence in the manufacturing sector. Li encouraged businesses to accelerate their digital transformation and innovate to develop high-end manufacturing capabilities. He also underscored the importance of green and low-carbon production methods.
Further, Li highlighted the necessity of closer integration between manufacturing and modern services, alongside the development of specialized advanced manufacturing clusters. He emphasized the need for improved industrial standards and stronger key industrial supply chains to mitigate excessive competition and foster a more stable environment for advanced manufacturing.
