China Secures First Place at International Mathematical Olympiad’s 67th Edition

China emerged victorious at the 67th International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO), held in Shanghai, clinching the top spot in the team standings. Demonstrating exceptional skill, all six members of the Chinese team earned gold medals, securing their place at the pinnacle of the competition. The United States followed closely, taking second place, while Russia and Singapore rounded out the top four in third and fourth positions, respectively.

The Olympiad, which attracts young mathematical minds from over 120 countries and regions, awarded a total of 55 gold, 105 silver, and 189 bronze medals. In addition to these accolades, 141 participants received honorable mentions in recognition of their noteworthy performances during the event.
