China is set to kick off its National Science Popularization Month, aiming to enhance public comprehension of scientific innovation and boost science literacy across the nation. This month-long initiative will spotlight the theme “Science Transforms Lives, Innovation Secures the Future” and will incorporate a diverse array of exhibitions, lectures, science tours, and activities designed for public engagement.
In Beijing, more than 100 exhibitions and events are scheduled at major venues, while over 150 activities will be organized by national scientific societies throughout China. The program’s goal is to make fundamental research and new scientific developments more accessible to the general public, fostering a greater understanding and appreciation of science.
Participants will have the chance to visit laboratories and research facilities, providing them with firsthand insights into the latest advancements in science and technology. A highlight of the program will be the 2026 World Conference on Science Literacy, which is set to take place in mid-September in Beijing.
