During the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference in Shanghai, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting to reinforce the robust strategic partnership between their nations. President Xi emphasized the importance of deepening cooperation by aligning their development strategies and expanding initiatives in various sectors such as trade, cross-border e-commerce, energy, transportation, and the digital economy.
Additionally, Xi highlighted the potential for collaboration in fields like artificial intelligence, education, healthcare, science, and culture. President Tokayev reciprocated the gesture by acknowledging China as Kazakhstan’s primary foreign policy partner.
