This new agreement marks a significant shift from the current situation, where Hong Kong passport holders enjoy visa-free entry to Uzbekistan for only 10 days, and Uzbek passport holders must obtain a visa to visit Hong Kong. It is also a strategic step for Hong Kong in expanding its cooperation with emerging markets in Central Asia.
